The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board is seeking a full-time Environmental Planning Assistant. The office is located in Lake George, but encompasses coordination with agencies in Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren and Washington Counties. The position will assist local communities and county water quality coordinating committees with water quality management planning projects. Knowledge of water quality issues with emphasis on stormwater, strong writing and speaking skills, grant management and good computer skills are needed. Experience in GIS mapping is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in planning, natural resources, environmental science or related field is required. Experience is a plus. A competitive salary with benefits is available.
