Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

The LCLGRPB recently updated the five-county region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), which is utilized by federal agencies to help identify economic development needs and projects within the region and target federal funding for those projects.

A copy of the full 2022-2027 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document and appendices can be downloaded here.

The preparation of this report was financially aided through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration under Section 302, Title IV of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended. Contract Grant Project Number ED22PHI3020019.

Message from the Director
“At the Regional Planning Board, our mission is to promote sustainable economic development that strengthens our communities, provides quality jobs, and preserves the unique natural, historical and cultural characteristics of the region.

The lesson learned from the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, is that positive results happen because of concerted collaboration between stakeholders.

Building on this experience, the LCLGRPB has adopted a new “forward together” approach to regional economic development, which is reflected in the 2022-2027 CEDS.”
