Regional Planning Board Receives 2022 Economic Development Partner of the Year from North Country Chamber of Commerce

LAKE GEORGE, NY – The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB) has been awarded 2022 Economic Development Partner of the Year by the North Country Chamber of Commerce (NCCC).

The award was presented to LCLGRPB Director, Beth Gilles, at the Friday night’s Annual Dinner hosted by the Chamber. The award recognizes a collaboration that has grown between the two organizations throughout the pandemic.

“It is a great privilege to be honored by our colleagues at the North Country Chamber of Commerce,” says Beth Gilles. “NCCC served as a key committee member for our Forward Together: Economic Resiliency Plan, which promotes collaboration as essential to meeting several ambitious goals set for improving economic resiliency and prosperity.”

During the last year, the LCLGRPB has supported workforce training offered through NCCC and partnered with the Chamber on funding applications to the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Build Back Better Challenge and the Small Business Administration’s Community Navigator Pilot Program.

“We look forward to maintaining close bonds with NCCC and all of our regional economic development partners interested in bringing economic investment to the region,” says Beth Gilles.

The LCLGRPB is one of nine federally designated regional planning and development organizations in New York State. The LCLGRPB serves communities in Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties. The organization is focused on supporting regional economic and community development projects and connecting communities and organizations with state and federal funding dollars.
