The Lake Champlain – Lake George Regional Planning Board works diligently to lead economic and community growth through providing professional capacity and technical assistance to municipalities and small businesses. Our team monitors economic, environmental and community development issues and advances strategies to improve assets and economic drivers in our region. Our communities, included in our Economic Development District, are across Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties in New York State.
Operations Coordinator Description: This position supports the Executive Director in managing the organization’s administrative, fiscal, and operational functions. Key responsibilities include budget preparation, board coordination, grant and program recordkeeping, policy development and implementation, scheduling, organizing annual conferences and meetings, and responding to public inquiries.
The role also serves as a liaison to elected officials, government agencies, business leaders, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, an effective communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced, small-office environment. Experience working with local, state, and federal elected officials is a plus. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, public administration, political science, public policy, finance or related field; and
a) Two (2) Years of experience involving business administration, public administration, grant administration, finance, economic development project administration/management or related field; or
b) Two (2) years of experience administering the financial and/or operating affairs of an organization.
